Found this in my adolescent psych textbook and thought it true, but extremely funny:

"How is it that, in the human body, reproduction is the only function to be performed by an organ of which an individual carries only one half so that he has to spend an enormous amount of time and energy to find another half?"
- Francos Jacob
French Biologist, 20th Century

"Flee the evil desries of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.
And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful."
2 Tim 2:22-24

To those i've ever quarrelled with over petty things, i'm sorry...

Hello again Blog...
Long time no see. Or type.
Life has been... hmmm... so-so, i guess. For those of you who know about my grandma, pls pray. Other than that, well, i've been thinking. Ok, so what's new... But my path is so uncertain. I don't know what i'm going to do after my 3rd year as a psych student. I don't know if i ought to step down as a CGL in church, i don't know what the future holds for a lot of other stuff. I look back at my past and find myself so so so different. Mei mei, if u're reading this... haha... i'm sorry... I remember how i used to bully my sis. I was really bad man... Always wanted my way. Took her stuff, convinced her to give me her stuff. Yet, we played a lot together and had a lot of fun. Built houses out of pillows and cushions, played poor, played rich, played picnics, cooking, pretended we were mothers of our soft toys... and i lost my temper at her while playing wooden blocks. Hit daddy's girl with a block and her lip started bleeding. (Yes, of course i got into trouble). I thus conclude that children (at least a particular weird one) has really little concept of what love is.
Then i look at pri sch days, sec sch days... so young and naive. I remember the first time a guy called me and asked me to be his stead. (Mdm Adibah wld prob say: How much did he think he was gonna get this property for?) I got a shock of my life! Seriously, i thought the guy was mad. Haha... oh well... Remember the other guys... remember the other friends... some whom i've lost contact with, some who i still talk to once in a while. Remember how i was shunned during sec sch coz i was the goody-two-shoes, esp during lower sec. How i felt so lonely, yet i didn't want to be like those pple who broke the rules. Remember how i was in debate, choir, library... Remember how i was first in chinese calligraphy competition, road-race... how i was in chinese cross-talk (oh yes... shocking, huh...) and an MC for like a dozen events and had to wear a gold cheong sam for a chinese new yr one which i detested. And trying not to remember life in JC though the friends made it more bearable. Yes girls, i rmbr that humpty-dumpty balloon...
Nostalgia. Wahaha... I'm here now... and there's no turning back. Glad for where God has brought me and what He has brought me through. Oh well... till another time...

I owe my lonely blog some entries...

1) Forbidden City
Absoutely glad i went though after that i was $50 poorer. Wish i had gone with my parents only coz they wld have paid and wld have gotten better seats! Heh... ok, ok... i shall not treat mum and dad like walking ATMs. Loved the way the songs fit different people and different contexts even though they were the same songs! And they all somehow blended innicely. The props... simple yet sophisticated - the cubes/squares and the palace walls. Kinda reminded me of the VJC performance during drama SYF. They were goooood. Liked also the way they made the emperor's son go abt his business with the prostitutes. The concept of him flying from one to the other, being carried by two pple. So innovative instead of the old way of hiding behind a screen.
All in all, great performance, great company. =)

2) Just wanna talk about smthg that struck me a while back and i was reminded of in church today. The feeding of the 5000. Yes, God was indeed powerful. The miracle was amazing. But that's not all. Many a time we forget the little boy who was willing to give up his 5 loaves and 2 fish. Some refer to it as his lunch. 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish.. lunch? I think he was probably on his way home, maybe after buying his family's food for the next few days.
Imagine the disciples going up to the boy, "Hey son... we need some food to feed those 5000 men (maybe not inclusive of the women and children). Could u like... say... uhm... maybe give us the 5 loaves and 2 fish u have over there? Our master, the great rabbi (*points*) told us to bring some food.."
The boy would have been thinking quite a few things.... "What would my mum say if i give them my food? We won't have food for the next few days... She'll probably scold me... But that great rabbi... Jesus, he's called.. Think i've heard pple say that he's done miracles. But i'm not too sure..." We all don't really know what the boy was thinking, if he was part of the crowd or just passing by, but i'm sure glad he gave. Without which this famous story cannot be told and the 5000 men would not have witnessed Jesus' miracle. They would also have been left physically hungry and Jesus' concern for their physical needs would also not have been shown.
The boy didn't give 3 loaves and 1 fish. He gave ALL loaves and 2 fish. And Jesus used it to provide more than enough food for the people.

"He is El Shaddai, He'll more than supply my need, when i give my all to him...."
